The PTO Mission

The Parent Teacher Organization is composed of parents, teachers, and students who are committed to suporting and serving Sanderson staff and students.  Sanderson PTO runs academic, character and social programs to benefit both students and staff members funded through memberships, donations, and sponsorships.
​Our programs include:

• College Application Prep Programs
• Spartans on a Roll (Honor Roll)
• Spartans of Excellence
• Teacher Grants
• Scholarships
• Student & Teacher Recognition​
• Volunteer Service Awards
• Campus Beautification
• Advocacy​
• The Spartan Voice, our biweekly newsletter

None of this would be possible without the involvement of parent volunteers.  We encourage you to become involved in the Sanderson PTO!  Your commitment will lend a powerful voice to our students, empower our teachers, and support our Sanderson community.

A Brief History

In 2016, the Academic Booster Club and the Parent Teacher Student Association joined forces to become the Sanderson High School Parent Teacher Organization.  We believe that by combining our resources, we are better able to serve the Sanderson community.

Open Board Meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of the month at 6 p.m. and attended by over 20 volunteers.

General Membership Meetings 
1) September

• review the plan and approve the budget​

2) February 

• ​followed by Meet the Teacher Night

3) May or June

• end of year review
• officer election for following year

Working Together...

The combined efforts of dedicated teachers and administrators, motivated students and involved parents make a crucial difference in a child's education. Statistics continue to bear this out and we recognize that identifying at-risk students and providing effective programs like our College Essay Program and Spartans of Excellence are making a difference at Sanderson. We are committed to recognizing the potential for excellence in every student at Sanderson.
